Gantry Plaza State Park is a 12-acre riverside state park that boasts spectacular views of the midtown Manhattan skyline, including the Empire State Building and the United Nations.
Industrial monuments that were once used to load and unload rail car floats and barges are now centerpieces along the piers, along with the famed Pepsi-Cola sign that was located on top of the bottling plant before it was dismantled and reassembled into a permanent location within the park in 2009.
Recreational facilities include basketball courts, playgrounds, handball courts, and a fishing pier with its own cleaning table, along with multiple dining & lounge areas.
Leashed dogs are permitted in the Garden area near the South Gantry, the Plaza area in front of the Gantries and on Pier 1 from 8 AM to 10 PM. Please clean up after your pet.
There is a dog run available on the corner of 48th Ave. and Vernon Blvd. Pets are prohibited where indicated by sign.
